Balding Simulator
GDKO 2026 Round 1 Entry - Character Customization.
Both me and my character have become bald. Me due to the stress of making this, my character due to me not having enough time to make hair. Now you too can simulate and customize your balding! Pick from a wide variety of hair options that change nothing and make you feel more bald, or just play with the rest of the features I worked on.
Made with Bevy, Rust, and Bevy Vello. Requires WebGPU support to run (not WebGL). Check if https://linebender.org/bevy_vello/ runs, if so then this should run too. All UI is rendered natively with Bevy, the character is rendered with Bevy_vello (hence WebGPU being required). A bunch of artistic math (trig) and vello clipping allows a full 360 degrees turn-around despite 2d rendering. No assets (images, etc) are used at all aside from the font, everything is rendered in real-time.
